James PM was born April 10, 2003. His sire was Drummond, who excelled as a riding horse and at singles driving. His dam was Sapphire, the first model mare with the FPZV in the United States. He was bred by Larry Riggs and James Mosebrook at their Proud Meadows facility in Texas.

In 2009 James was the champion Star Stallion in the United States. He has shown at dressage, and has won many honors at training and first level and second level.  In 2010 he was Region 9 Reserve Champion First Level Open.  He qualified for the 2008 Southwest Dressage championships at Training Level Open.

He came to California and was in training with Sabine Schut-Kery. He is now in training with Kristina Harrison.

James has the typical Friesian breed characteristics, having a long and full mane, forelock and tail, and the good temperament that the breed is known for paired with good athleticism. He also has a good work ethic, three good gaits and is a quick learner which already gave him some success in the show ring in open dressage competition against other warmbloods.  He has scored a 74% at first level and 68% at second level.
